Marek Landscaping, LLC was established in 1996 by its principal, Mike Marek. The office and shop are located in the City of Milwaukee’s Lower East Side and Brewer’s Hill neighborhoods, respectively. The office is in the Lincoln Center for the Arts, which is an arts middle school in the Milwaukee Public School System and where Mr. Marek is a resident artist teaching students about horticulture, landscape design, and environmental issues. He also serves as a design resource to MPS. The shop is located in a warehouse on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive (3rd Street).
Our staff includes Mike Marek as project manager/ lead designer, David Sether as landscape designer, Kristin Schultheis as a soil scientist/ hydrologist, Ron Londre as our Project Ecologist, and construction crew members with backgrounds in landscaping, ecology, agriculture, arboriculture, carpentry, masonry and machine service. We also tap a wide network of ecologists, resource managers, architects, civil and geotechnical engineers, botanists, zoologists, arborists, surveyors, carpenters, masons, artists, and historians to aid in our design- build process.
